The Border Collie is ranked as the single smartest dog breed.
The Border Collie is a breed of herding dog that came originally from the borders of England, Wales and Scotland. They are very energetic dogs and are often considered to be the world’s best sheep herding dogs. They are very protective of human family members and are, most of the time, affectionate to those they know. Border Collies must be carefully trained with a lot of physical exercise and mental stimulation included in their daily schedules.
