Dog pregnancy can be 59-68 days with an average of 63 days or 9 weeks. You can predict delivery in your pregnant dog by noting signs of labour. Signs of labour in dogs start a few hours to 2 days before true labour. These signs are agitation, no eating, restlessness and pacing. Note these signs and expect delivery very soon!
Get her comfortable and get a whelping box for her. a nice box lined with sheets or towels/blankets for her to whelp the puppies in, make sure it’s in a quiet area of your home. Keep small children away as your dog will be more than protective of her new born puppies for the first few days. Make sure children are always accompanied whilst visiting/handling the new puppies.
If for any reason you are worried about your dog or the puppies call or go to your vet.
